MUVE’s Care Pledges set out a bold and measurable commitment to people, community, sustainability, wellbeing, education, and ethical leadership. Through clear Key Value Indicators, we are embedding social value into every part of our organisation—creating inclusive employment pathways, strengthening local partnerships, reducing our environmental footprint, prioritising wellbeing, expanding learning opportunities, and leading with transparency and accountability. Together, these commitments ensure MUVE delivers meaningful impact across the communities we serve while building a responsible and future-focused care organisation.

1. Care Through Employment

PLEDGE

Create inclusive, fair, and long-term employment pathways across our healthcare divisions. We will open doors for individuals facing barriers to work, including those Not in Employment, Education, or Training, care leavers, ex-offenders, and those returning to the workforce. Through mentorships, apprenticeships, and supported employment programmes, MUVE aims to build diverse teams that reflect the communities we serve and empower individuals to grow meaningful careers in care.

KEY VALUE INDICATORS

  • KVI 1.1: Recruit a minimum of 10 NEET individuals or those returning to work through our supported employment and training partnerships by end of 2026.

  • KVI 1.2: Increase the number of apprentices and graduates placed into permanent roles within MUVE by 20% year-on-year.

  • KVI 1.3: Partner with at least two local employment organisations (e.g., job centres, charities) to build fair access pathways into care careers.

  • KVI 1.4: Integrate social value KPIs into annual appraisals for all hiring managers.

2. Care For Community

Strengthen local partnerships that create belonging and social connection.

We’ll partner with local charities, volunteer networks, and social enterprises to deliver initiatives that make a tangible difference, from local volunteering days and family wellbeing events, to kindness campaigns and shared skill exchanges. MUVE teams across the UK will contribute time, resources, and heart to building stronger, more connected communities.

  • KVI 2.1: Deliver a minimum of 250 volunteer hours across MUVE teams annually.

  • KVI 2.2: Support at least three local charities or social enterprises each year through fundraising or resource-sharing initiatives.

  • KVI 2.3: Establish “MUVE Kindness Week” as a recurring quarterly initiative in all UK and South Africa offices.

  • KVI 2.4: Create a Community Partner Directory showcasing collaborations and their outcomes.

3. Care For The Environment

PLEDGE

Reduce our environmental footprint and promote greener care operations.

We’re taking measurable steps toward sustainability by introducing EV transition milestones, energy-efficient offices, paperless workflows, and our “Tree for Every Placement” campaign through Carma Earth. By 2026, we aim to achieve a 20% reduction in operational emissions and publish annual carbon dashboards across all MUVE entities.

KEY VALUE INDICATORS

  • KVI 3.1: Achieve a 20% reduction in paper use and shift all documentation to digital formats by Q4 2026.

  • KVI 3.2: Transition 25% of the vehicle fleet to hybrid or electric by 2027.

  • KVI 3.3: Plant 1,200 trees annually (5000 by 2030) through the Carma Earth “Care Grows Here” initiative, offsetting approximately 4 tonnes of CO₂ per year.

  • KVI 3.4: Implement a quarterly environmental dashboard to track energy use, recycling rates, and travel emissions.

4. Care For Well-being

PLEDGE

Prioritise mental, physical, and emotional well-being for every member of our care community.

We will continue expanding wellbeing initiatives such as the MUVE Well campaign, Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), mental health first aiders in each region, and flexible work practices. Our goal is to foster healthy teams who feel valued, supported, and able to bring their best to the people they support.

KEY VALUE INDICATORS

  • KVI 4.4: Establish a Wellbeing Forum to collect employee feedback and track wellbeing engagement scores annually.

5. Care Through Education

Build capacity and career progression across the care sector.

Through structured training, CPD programmes, and digital learning platforms, MUVE will upskill our workforce and the wider community. We will support pathways for graduates, apprentices, and care professionals to achieve qualifications, while delivering family training hubs that equip people with skills to provide better support at home and in their communities.

6. Care In Leadership

PLEDGE

Lead with integrity, inclusivity, and accountability.

We’re embedding transparent governance and ethical leadership across every service. MUVE’s leadership framework promotes diversity, equality, and fairness through mentorship, training, and social impact reporting.
